Our History
​ Coffman began crafting stair parts before there was electricity.
WM-Coffman means Woodmark-Coffman. Coffman was founded in 1874 and Woodmark Company was founded in 1968. In 2002, Woodmark Company purchased Stairhouse, a regional stair parts company in Austell, GA. (Our Austell office today!) P&F Industries purchased Woodmark in 2004 and then purchased Coffman in 2009. They merged the two companies. Woodmark + Coffman = WM-Coffman. P&F Industries sold WM-Coffman to Prophet Equity in 2010. In 2016, to better serve our customers, WM-Coffman bought Staircrafters Supply in Edison, New Jersey to help expand distribution.
WM-Coffman continues today to make strides in the stair parts industry as Coffman Stair Parts that you know and trust today.
